Why Volunteer With Hearts at Home?

Volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you are giving your time at an event, assisting with planning, or offering professional skills, your support makes a lasting impact.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome:

  • Adults ages 18 and older
  • College students and service-learning participants
  • Community members and professionals
  • Corporate and group volunteers

Some opportunities may require additional screening or training depending on the role.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer roles may include, but are not limited to:

  • Event setup and breakdown
  • Activity and craft station support
  • Family check-in and guest assistance
  • Sensory-friendly activity support
  • Administrative or planning support
  • Donation drives and community outreach
  • Skilled volunteer support (education, advocacy, media, logistics)

Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year based on programs and events.

Working With Children

Some volunteer roles may involve interaction with children. For these roles:

  • Children are always supervised
  • Volunteers are expected to follow child-safety guidelines
  • Additional screening or training may be required
